Summer: June witnesses the highest degree of mercury, at 30 degree celsius and is probably the best time to escape the heat of the rest of the India, as well as enjoy clear warm sunny weather.

Winter: The winter is usually almost always there except for summer and monsoon, but still it can be bracketed from November to March. The higher reaches receive mild snowfall in the first week of November and the middle ranges get last snowfall by March, sometimes in February.

How to reach.

All the major destinations are easily accessible by road, rail and air. The best way is to fly from Delhi, or drive from Chandigarh.

Packing Stuff.

Light cotton wear works best in summers and heavy warm woollens are a necessity in winters. Also carry sunglasses, hats, caps and moisturisers at all times.
